Catacombs of the Talion

Don't use the stairs (icicles) instead go to the side of the stairs and grab the crack in the left wall and shimmy right until you can pull up to obtain Secret #1; the Stone Dragon and some flares. Prepare your Uzi's or Grenades, slide forward down the slope, and jump forwards at the bottom and after a couple more slides you can kill your first Yeti then flip the switch to open the door above. Climb back up the ladder and slide then jump and grab to the ledge and kill the leopard (but watch out for falling icicles!).

Kill a pair of mercenaries and take their loot as you head down the stairs and more leopards will attack as you explore the area. Grab the medikit from inside their den on the right after you go through the open door. Your next quest is sitting in that cage up above so run up the slope to trigger the snowballs. Dodge them by jumping at the last moment to the ledge on the right. Turn right and run across the floor which crumbles beneath you and climb the ladder above the deadly spikes. Climb to the top and back flip over to the switch which raises the cage and lets you take the Mask.

The pool will now drain and the floor opens up. Slide down the slope and drop to the floor. Drop down and into the hole in the floor. Light a flare and jump the pit with the spikes and use the Mask next to the gate. As soon as you arrive on the next slope, more snowballs start rolling towards you. Climb onto the left wall to avoid the snowballs. Four leopards will now arrive to add to your excitement. There are more snowballs waiting to crush you should you decide to return to the slope.

Go to the right corner of the courtyard and find the ladder which is in the passage, climb it to reach a ledge with some grenades and drop to the floor. You will need another Mask to open this door, so continue to the hole in the ice wall beyond the snowball slope. Four leopards surround you when you venture into the area past the crack. Continue right towards the glacier where more leopards challenge you. Climb the rocks to the left to discover a pool in which the second Mask lies.

Three Mercenaries will be waiting for you as you climb out, kill them and ransack the corpses. Make your way back to the ledge where you obtained the grenades. Use the Mask and enter. Four yetis are locked up in this room - that is until you flip the switch on the wall which turns on the lights and opens the cages. These guys take a lot of ammo so just keep plugging them with everything you've got, but I found that one Grenade each is enough. Use the stairs to your strategic advantage or wait in the lit room behind the cages.

When they are all dead you can go downstairs and pick up the goodies from two corners of the room - you'll need to light a couple of flares to search properly. Then use the block to the right of the light switch to keep the bars of the upstairs cages open. Go into this caged area with a flare to find and flip the switch. Grab the grenades from one of the hallways before going back outside. More mercenaries are waiting and you've a hell of a gunfight on your hands but lots of booty to pick up afterwards.

Return to the hole in the wall. Head through the open door and over the first rope bridge. More snowballs will roll towards you as you cross the second bridge but there's a safe area on the left. Now you can continue up and do a running jump to grab onto the ladder and climb to the top of the glacier. Dive into the pool below and exit to the shore to avoid the barracudas and frostbite. Kill the fish and continue into the next room and get out of the water on the right then head left. Watch out for icicles!

When you are standing on a ledge and getting ready to jump to the next turn and find the ladder. Climb up to the top and do a back flip off the ladder onto a ledge, (if you slide back down quickly jump and grab the ladder and try again) where you can obtain Secret #2; the Jade Dragon. Jump to grab the ladder to return to the mission at hand. Continue left across the pool and climb up the block near the door. Do a running jump to grab the bottom of the ladder and climb to the top where you can jump back to land on a ledge with a switch. Flip it to open the door below then return to the ground and enter the door.

Dodge and attack the leopard which pounces from the left. When he is dead you can flip the switch to open the doors back at the snowball slope. Now you need to go all the way back to those doors and enter (hang drop off the glacier to return to ground level). After you enter the doors, do a running jump over the pit and kill the leopards before you drop down to their former location. Flip the switch you find here to open the doors and kill the last leopard when he arrives. Grab the items from the corner before you head back up. More snowballs lie ahead.

Try and keep Lara on the high camera. Hold the jump key so Lara does the second jump on her own. Stand on the left next to the slope, jump forward to send them rolling your way. Jump back then left onto the left slope and Lara will jump forward on her own missing the snowballs. Another slope and more snowballs, but this time after you trigger them they will break through the door at the bottom allowing you to enter. Stand facing the left slope do a forwards jump and Lara jumps back on her own then quickly jump right and avoid the snowballs again.

Stand on the left floor panel to open a door and carefully enter this room. This room is full of spikes so WALK when you enter. Turn to the left as soon as you enter and climb the textured wall surface to reach the ledge above which has Secret #3; the Gold Dragon. Return to the floor at the other end at which you climbed. Walk towards the door leading to the previous room. When it opens hop back then run through quickly.

Go back to the first floor panel and do the same again to gain entry into the room, but this time as soon as you enter turn right and keep running and time your jump over the spikes to the door in the back right corner. (Be careful not to go to far, otherwise you will have to jump again for the ladder) Climb down the ladder and enter the tunnel to EXIT this level.
