Reunion

Introduction.

Hot on the trail of the Lost Artefact, Lara discovers a common clue among all of the locations she has visited. The mysterious glowing substance is common to all locations, and someone has built a mutant laboratory and even raised mutants at the zoo.  Where could it all lead? And the bigger question, who is behind these mysterious deeds? 

Walkthrough.

Chamber with three pits of green goo:

A rude beginning. A huge boulder is about to flatten you, so QUICKLY do a side jump and land on the ledge as the boulder crashes into the pit. The pit looks familiar, but the entire surroundings have changed, and there is something wrong with the skyline. Lara, you are not in Kansas anymore.

An alternate universe perhaps?  Look out at the skyline at the end of the green pits. Looks suspiciously like another boulder. Light a flare to see the invisible walkway across the pit after you have practised flattening Lara with the boulder, reload a saved game, and take a careful diagonal jump to the walkway and immediately do a back flip to get out of the path of the boulder. WALK down the invisible walkway and pick up three sets of grenades. Look out at the alien skyline, and then return to the centre pit.

Go to the pit at the other end of the chamber. Walk down the invisible walkway and pick up a rocket and grenades.

Climb up on the ledge on the side of the central pit without windows. Pick up flares. Return to the central pit. Save your game and enter the high opening between the barred windows.

Stairs:

Watch out the barred windows to see a mutant with a hole in his chest bearing a torch. The mutant will yell "Hey", and run up to the top of the stairs and bring his buddy with. Jump to the bottom of the stairs and shoot at the mutants as they run up to the top of the stairs.

Keep shooting as they come down the stairs and you should be able to kill them before they reach you.

Pick up the flares and the MP5 clips at the bottom of the stairs. Explore the area on the right side of the stairs and pick up a small medi-pack in the green goo room with barred windows. Follow the right path to the top and pick up a rocket. Pick up a small medi-pack in the green goo room with the barred windows on the left side of the stairs.

Mummies hanging over a pit:

Light a flare and look on the left side of the pit for an invisible ledge.  Do a simple jump straight ahead to the ledge. Now use your flare to find another ledge ahead and in the centre of the pit. Take a diagonal simple jump to the ledge. Continue jumping from ledge to ledge until you reach the last ledge near the swinging fire lamp.

Take a diagonal STANDING jump with grab over the ramp by the swinging lamp. Slide down. Save your game.  Pick up the flares by the lamp, taking care to walk as close to the ramp as possible to the opposite end of the ledge. Save your game. Time a standing jump with grab to the nearby ledge to avoid the swinging lamp.

Ledges opposite Sophia:

Aha, Sophia Lee, an old enemy from TR3 is back! Yes and she's still wearing that same tired pantsuit and still has her helmet hair.  Obviously she has eluded the fashion police in her quest for world domination.

Careful, death is everywhere. Load up on health, and then take a simple jump over the gap. Run around the corner to the right and keep going up until you reach a block with a small medi-pack. Pick it up to replenish your dwindling supply. Take a diagonal jump to the ledge with the mummy, drop down, pick up one more small medi-pack and run around the corner to the left. Hide from Sophia behind the block.  Sophia laughs with insane glee as she keeps flinging her laser bolts while poor Lara cowers behind the pillar.

From behind the safety of the pillar, look up to see an overhead ledge.  Climb on the short block and do a jump grab to the higher ledge. This lures Sophia higher, so now might be a good time to drop back down and investigate the lower ledges under Sophia. Make your way to the bottom and take a long running jump to the ledge with the large medi-pack.

Pick up the large medi-pack and start exploring. A mutant with a torch appears; shoot him with the Desert Eagle before he clubs you to death. You can climb up to the top, but Sophia uses deadly force to block your way.  Return across the pit, and make your way up to the top. Have a medi-pack, and climb up.

Higher level with switch:

Climb up and light a flare. If you were hoping to get away from Sophia.

Sophia climbs up to this level to pester you with her laser bolts. Follow the walkway to the back wall and take a left towards the area with the window to the sky. Approaching the large medi-pack triggers a mutant with his torch. The Desert Eagle works great, just one shot.

Pick up your large medi-pack and look through the barred windows.  Follow the walkway keeping the wall on your left side. Go across the walkway along the wall and fall into a small pit with a pool of water. Do standing jump with grab to the room with the switch. Shoot the mutant with his torch.

Approach the switch by staying close to the back wall. Another monster boulder falls down. Don't pull the switch just yet, keep making your way around the chamber and take a simple jump to the left. Enter a dark area with a small pit. Shoot the two mutant men.

The opening in the pit simply leads back to the bottom, so go back up and take a run down the walkway near Sophia. Nothing there, so return to the switch and find the large medi-pack near the switch near the edge of the pit.  Flip the switch and run through the open door.

Many mutants attack, three from the front and one from behind.  Dispatch them with the Desert Eagle and find flares and a small medi-pack at the back of the switch room. Go through the opening at the back of the switch room and find a swinging lamp with fire. Pull the switch next to the ladder to open the door. Climb up the ladder and save your game.

Top level:

Sophia has no intention of being left behind, and you can hear her climb up to the other side. Jump to the ledge by the pit and Sophia will finish her climb to the Hand of Rathmore as a large sphere descends.

Ladder side of the pit:

Find a large medi-pack on a high ledge by the pit. You may want to pick this up when Sophia is distracted by the descending sphere.  Drop down to the grates over the pit and pick up a rocket in the corner.

Walkways that cross the pit:

Take a simple jump from the ladder side of the pit to the walkway. Turn back and face the ladder side of the pit and spot a small ledge with two rockets near the outside wall. Do a simple jump and pick up the rockets while Sophia blasts away.  Jump back to the walkway.  Run across the pit to Sophia's side and take a long running jump to the ledge near the walkway. (Exactly the same for the other walkway).

Sophia's side of the pit:

Pick up a small medi-pack and a rocket on the ledge near the walkways.  Hmm, lots of rockets! Try loading up the rocket launcher and take one more shot at Sophia. Prepare to be amazed, it worked. Lara gets a charge and Sophia yelps her dismay that such a puny thing as Lara can destroy the great Sophia.

Pick up the Hand of Rathmore, which opens a door between the two windows to the sky. If you have not picked up all of the goodies, then finish your pick-ups.

To exit, find the opening between the two small windows to the night sky on Sophia's side of the pit and slide down the ramp. Drop down a vertical shaft into a small pool of water with mummies hanging overhead.

The Beach:

Back on the beach, but the night sky has changed (perhaps that alternate universe theory might be true.)  Lara's ride arrives. Jules Verne descends in his balloon, to take Lara out of her Land of Oz

Run over to the balloon and get on board.
