Temple of Poseidon

There is no use coming here until you have all 4 Tridents.

So go back to the Catacombs.

Great hall with two ropes and puddle (bottom floor): (Catacombs)

Shoot the vases at the bottom of the stairs at the end of the hall.  Now go up the stairs. Jump over the hole in the floor. Take one walking step backwards away from the edge and do a standing jump grab to the climbing ladder. Climb down to the bottom floor. Remember that you came in by the deep pit. It is a climbing wall by the deep pit near one of the doors.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU KILL ALL THE SKELETONS EVEN THE ONES THAT DON'T WAKE UP, OTHERWISE THE PIT WILL NOT FILL UP WITH WATER.

Hall with deep pit and huge faces: (Temple of Poseidon)

The faces at each end of the hall are sticking out their tongues.  Looks like they whole thing needs some water. Stay away from the pit because it is a very long way down.

Face with flame (west of the pit):

From the deep pit, go into the hall on the right and find a high crawlspace in the corner near one of the faces. You will soon find out that the black spot on the floor burns. Walk up next the wall and side step sideways just enough to jump grab up the crawlspace but as far away from the flame as possible. Climb up and walk past some skeletons.  Shoot the vase and pick up a small medi-pack. Stand in front of the Poseidon statue and press the Action key. Lara will climb up and place the Trident on the handle. Get out the shotgun and then lure the skeletons near the pool. Shoot them with the shotgun to knock them in the pool.  Carefully climb back down avoiding the flame.

Return to the deep pit.

Face with room of pillars (north of pit):

Take the centre hallway between the two faces. Run up a dark tunnel and enter a room with two levels and some fancy pillars. Drop down the bottom floor. In one of the dark corners is a low crawlspace and Secret #1.  Pick up red crossbow ammo and a small medi-pack.  Use a jump grab to one of the ledges to get out. Two skeletons are waiting on the ledge.  Try to get between the skeleton and the pit and blast them into the pit.  Continue to the room with the face. Drop down into the ditch and crawl under the face.

Climb out.

Look for a room on the right with familiar black spots on the floor.  Carefully walk between the black spots that quickly turn into flames.

Shoot the vases. Two skeletons appear from nowhere. Use something explosive to make them disappear. Pick up blue and red shotgun shells and red crossbow ammo.

Go into a room with the statue of Poseidon. Use the Action key to place the Trident on the pole. Return to the crawlspace and swim out.

Return to the deep pit.

Face with nothing near deep pit (east of pit):

Go to the face, then turn around and face the deep pit. Now to the right and you will see a rock wall that you can climb. Climb up and sideways. Scare up another skeleton by the Poseidon statue.  Shoot it into the pool. Shoot the vases and pick up blue shotgun shells. Climb back down, letting go and quickly pressing the Action key to drop more quickly. You are greeted by a white fire demon.  Where is that gold statue of the bird? Go to the pit and look for the climbing ladder in the North East corner near one of the doors. Climb near the top and do a backwards jump to land on the ledge with the statue. Have a medi-pack or two on the way. Hang out with the statue until the fire demon self-destructs. Return to the pit.

Room with huge face and pole:  (north of pit)

From the pit, find the hallway to the North. Climb to the top of the pole and do a backwards jump onto the ledge. Start shooting pots. Pick up blue shotgun shells and red crossbow ammo. One of the skeletons wakes up.  Shoot it with the explosive crossbow ammo. Shoot the other one just to keep him from making trouble. Climb down the pole and return to the deep pit.

The deep pit:

The pit now has water in the bottom. Jump down and swim around until you find am underwater passage about halfway up the pit wall. Follow the passage and find a crawlspace to swim through.

Room after deep pit:

Climb out and run up the stairs. There are a couple of skeletons to take care of, so lure them down to the pool and knock em in the pool. Go up the stairs.

Room with 4 small pools and vases:

Drop down into the room and two white fire demons appear. Shoot the nearest vase and run over to hug the gold bird statue. Wait until the fire demons self-destruct. Shoot the other vase revealing another gold bird statue.

Room with 4 small pools and vases: Path to Coastal Ruins:

Push the symbol near the statue to open a hole in the floor. Climb down the hole in the floor by the other bird statue.  Follow the hall until you reach another climbing ladder. Climb up and pry open the door with your crowbar. You are back in the Coastal Ruins. Climb back down and return to the room with statues.

Room with 4 small pools and vases:

Path to Lost Library:

Continue to the other end of the room and stop by the big box at the end of the room. Open the box and reach in to pull out the Left Gauntlet of Horus's Armour. This opens the door on either side of the box. Go through the open door into a hall that ends at the other door. In the middle of the hall, look up and spy a crawlspace. Follow the crawlspace until you reach the Lost Library.
