The Submarine

Cut scene:

Lara lands on the submarine and hides behind a crate. She slaps the crate to attract the deck hand. He searches for the source of the sound and Lara knocks him out. She runs down the cargo ramp and hides in the cargo room. She looks around at her surrounding and exclaims, "Economy Class." She sits down to take a catnap.

Cut scene:

The door to the cargo room opens before Lara can hide. The Admiral and his crew escort her to the makeshift jail  - a sleeping quarters. Lara is left to her own devices.

Bunk beds:

Rows of bunks, no goodies. What to do? Search for a broken handle on the end of the bunk beds. Use the Action key to pry it loose and you now have a handy dandy crow bar. Next search for something to pry open with your newly found crowbar - like the nearby grate that is not blocked by fire extinguishers.. Enter the vent system.

Vent system:

Crawl through the vent system until you reach a ladder. Climb the ladder and continue down the vent until you come to a broken grate over a pit.

(Note: Lara may get stuck, just keep trying and she should get free.)

Broken grate:

Back up to the pit with the broken grate and lower yourself into the pit using the Action key + down arrow. Now shimmy to the right, remembering to hold on to the Action key.  When you are facing the fan that is not moving, notice that you are on a climbing ladder. Climb down to the bottom of the pit. Face away from the climbing ladder and look up to spot a ledge opposite the climbing ladder. Climb back up the ladder, and when the camera shows the ledge behind you, do a back flip (back arrow + Jump key) to the ledge. Pick up Secret #1 - a gold rose. Do a standing jump with grab to the climbing ladder. Climb up and shimmy to the right to face the moving fan. Climb up and go up the next climbing ladder.

Shorting electrical wires:

Drop into the pit with the broken grate below the swinging electrical wires. Shimmy to the left and climb up by the moving fan. Open the grate in the floor and drop into a store room.

Store room:

Explore the shelves and filing cabinet to find a small medi-pack and a battery (-). The door is locked, so return to the vent with the swinging electrical wires. Drop into the pit with the broken grate and shimmy to the left. Climb up by the moving fan. Climb the climbing ladder and crawl through the vent, which is above the control room for the submarine.

Cut scene: The Admiral and the Mafioso guy talk about reaching the long lost sub and the captured spy as they move the submarine into position for diving.

Crawl through the vent over the control room. Climb down the ladder and continue crawling until you come to a vent you can open. Open the grate using the handle. Save your game. As you are about to go from the frying pan into the fire.

Kitchen:

Drop down into the kitchen. Drop to the floor and WALK staying very near the stove until you are behind the cook. (Do not accidentally walk on his side of the aisle or he will notice you and start cutting you to pieces.) Once you are behind him, hit the Action key to whack him over the head with the crowbar. Pick up the Bronze Key from the cook, and use the Bronze Key to open another store room.

Store room:

Search the shelves and the filing cabinet to find the Silver Key and Lara's beloved pistols. Back to the kitchen and use the Silver Key to open the other locked door.

Dining room:

Go to the inventory to select the pistols and shoot the two men in the dining room. As you approach the TV, a guard will come out of the bathroom. Shoot him and collect the red shotgun shells he leaves behind. Check out the bathroom but there is nothing there.

Open the hatch on the bathroom end of the dining room. Start down the hall and enter the storeroom on the right.

Storeroom with flashing light:

Shoot the guard, and search the shelves and filing cabinet. Climb on the crate  and find the handle in overhead vent. Do a jump grab to the handle to pull down the grate. Climb up into the vent.

Vents:

Crawl down the vent. On the second grate with the non-moving fan that you crawl over, you can stand up and do jump grabs to search for an overhead ledge. Climb up on the ledge and pick up Secret #2 - a gold rose. At the end of the vent, open the grate with a handle and drop into another store-room.

Store room after vent:

Shoot the guard, then search the shelves and the filing cabinet to find a battery (+). Enter the hall, take a left and find yourself on the other side of the dining room. Instead of going to the dining room, continue to the ladder.

Down the ladder.

Shoot the guard and pick up the blue shotgun shells he left behind. Continue down the hall and take the turn to the right. Enter a room with bunk beds and pick up a small medi-pack. Return back down the hall and open the hatch to the missile room.

Missile room:

Shoot the guard. Go through the missile room and climb the ladder.

Diving suit area:

Open the hatch on the right. Shoot the guard and pick up the Suit Console. Check out the other room across the hall, then proceed down to the end of the hall. Enter the door on the right and kill the guard. Return to the hall and open the last hatch on the left. The lights are flashing in this room and the suit is missing its console. At this point, I ended up combining the - and + batteries, but nothing worked.

So back to explore the other side of the dining room.

To get back to the dining room, go back down the ladder, through the missile room, take a right, climb the ladder, and follow the hall and take a right to the dining room.

Dining room:

Enter the opening on the opposite side of the room of the bathroom. Take a left at the Tee in the hallway. Shoot the guard. Go to the end of the hallway and open the hatch. Climb the ladder, go down a blue hall and enter the cargo area.

Cargo area:

Shoot two guards from the hall.  The guard with the white shirt will drop the shotgun. Climb up on the crates and explore. By the wooden crate on top of the grey crates, pick up the Aqualung. Take diagonal simple jumps to the top of the double stacked wooden crates near the door. Pick up a large medi-pack. Drop to the floor. Look at the wooden crate near the door. It appears to be damaged. Use the crowbar to pry it open. Pick up Secret #3 - a gold rose.

Now that you have all of the goodies that you need, return to the diving suit area. Go back down the ladder, through the dining room. From the dining room, enter the opening to the right of the bathroom. Take a left and drop down the ladder. Go down the hall and take the first left to the missile room. Climb the ladder, run down to the end of the hall and enter the diving suit room with the flashing light.

Diving suit area with flashing light:

Combine the Aqualung with the suit console to create the suite console. If you have not already done so, combine the Battery + with the Battery - to create the Suit Battery. Stand in front of the diving suit with the missing suit console and press action to install the suit console, press action again to install the suit battery.

Cut scene:

Lara gets into the diving suit and gets on the elevator.
