Sinking Submarine

Cut scene:

Lara takes off the diving suit and admires the Spear of Destiny, but not for long. Sergie, the Mafioso bad guy shows up and takes the Spear away from her. Lara warns Sergie that he will regret playing with the Spear, but Sergie ignores Lara and orders his men to place Lara in a torpedo tube and eject her. Meanwhile, Sergie examines the Spear and suddenly raises in the air with multi-coloured thunderbolts going through his body. The Spear seems to be bad for Sergie's health, for there is an explosion and the lights go out. In the darkness, we hear blows and grunts of pain. When the lights come back on, both of Sergie's men are much the worse for wear, and Lara is off exploring.

Diving suit area:

After the explosion, the submarine has changed. Water is pouring throughout the submarine, walls are caved in and electrical shorts abound.  A search of the diving suit area yields nothing, so climb down the ladder to the missile room.

Missile room:

Shoot the guard and pick up Uzi clips he left behind. Entering the hallway after the missile room triggers another guard. Shoot him and pick up Desert Eagle ammo. The passage to the left of the missile room is blocked, so take a right and go up the ladder. Avoid the burning hallway and continue down the hall taking a left and then a right to the storeroom.

Storeroom near swipe card entrance:

A search of the store room yields nothing, and checking out the vent shows the vent is blocked. Return to the burning hallway.

Burning hallway:

Save your game. Stand close to the wall and about half a square away from the burning oil. Take a simple jump over the fire. Enter the storeroom, and search the shelves and filing cabinet to find the Uzis. Checking the vent above the crate shows that it too is blocked. Continue down the burning hall to the dining room.

Dining room:

As you approach the dining room, electrical cables fall down and electrify the standing water. Stepping in the water usually means death. Carefully walk to the edge of the ledge near one of the blue tables. Take a simple jump to the table. Another simple jump to the next table, while avoiding the low portion of the ceiling. On the table, walk near the kitchen entrance and take a simple jump to the ledge in the kitchen. Take another simple jump to the ledge near the sink.

Kitchen:

In the water near the swinging electrical wires is a gold rose. Can't get it now, so walk back to the kitchen entrance and take a simple jump back the ledge leading to the dining room.

Dining Room:

Cross the dining room to the hall near the electrical wires. To do that, you  need to cross at the centre of the dining room and the low hanging ceiling is troublesome. Walk to the edge of the table near the centre of the room. Face the table on the other side of the aisle, take a simple standing jump WITH grab to the table across the aisle.

Jumping from the table to the hallway is very tricky.  From the edge of the table, facing the hall, do a simple standing jump WITH grab. If you land in the water, run onto the ledge losing some health.

Hall after dining room:

The hall to the left, from the dining room, is blocked, so take a right down the hall.

Storeroom:

Kill the guard and pick up his Swipe Card.  Search the shelves and pick up a small medi-pack.  Return to the dining room. Take a simple jump to the first table.

Dining room:

Use simple jumps across the table, avoiding the low overhang, to reach the bathroom side of the dining room. You can search the bathroom, but there is nothing there. Walk to the edge of the table near the centre of the room. Face the table on the other side of the aisle, take a standing jump WITH grab to the table across the aisle. From the edge of the table, and take a standing jump WITH grab to the ledge near the burning hallway.

Burning hall:

Make your way down the burning hall avoiding the fires. Take a right at the junction in the hallway, follow the hallway until you find a swipe card door. Use the swipe card to open the door.

After swipe card door:

Note the long hall with the electrical wires and a key lock, and then climb the ladder at the end of the hall. Skip the control room with the electrical wires for now and continue down the hall.

Control room with periscopes:

Fires are burning. Continue to the back of the control room and open the hatch. Visit the admiral who is slumped in the corner.

Cutscene:

The admiral has been hurt, and the submarine is heading for a crash on the bottom. Lara's only chance for survival is the escape pod which needs an Oxygen bottle and can be found in the admiral's state room.

Room with admiral:

Climb up the ladder to the escape pod. It has two receptacles that need to be filled. Return to the control room with the periscopes.

Control room with periscopes:

Remember when you crawled through the vent and saw this control room? Look at the semi-broken wooden slats on the vent near the map table. Climb on the map table and jump and shoot out the wooden slats.  Stand at the back of the map table, and take a long running jump with grab to the vent.

Vent to store room:

Climb up into the vent and take a right. Crawl down the vent and open the grate with the handle. Search the shelves, the do a jump grab to the power switch up near the ceiling. This turns the power off. Climb back up into the vent and return to the control room. Now that the power is off, return to the control room with electrical wires.

Control room with electrical wires:

From the floor, pick up the large medi-pack, desert eagle ammo, and the Desert Eagle. Climb on the block and pick up the Nitrogen Canister. Go back to the hall and take a right. Climb down the ladder. Enter the hall on the left with the electrical wires. Use the Silver Key that you picked up from the Admiral to open the door.

Conference room:

Search the shelves and pick up a small medi-pack and the Oxygen.  Exit from the conference room and meet up with a couple of Mafioso thugs. Shoot them while back flipping down the hall. Pick up the Bronze key they left behind. But let's not forget the rose that you saw in the kitchen. Take a left down the hall, then a right. Carefully navigate the burning hallway to the dining room.

Dining room and kitchen:

The power is off, so you can just run into the kitchen and pick up Secret #1 -  a gold rose. Return back down the burning hallway, take a right, then find the open door near the swipe card receptacle. Make your way back up the ladder. Return to the control room with the periscopes.

What about that bronze key?

Hmm, where do you remember seeing a key lock? There was a key lock in the storeroom that you found at the end of the vent. Climb back into the vent in the room with the periscopes (long running jump with grab). Crawl through the vent to the store room. Use the Bronze key on the locked door in the storeroom. Search the shelf and filing cabinet to find Secret #2 - a gold rose. Return to the vent and back to the control room with the periscopes. Find the room with the admiral, climb the ladder to the escape pod.

Escape pod:

First place the Nitrogen canister in the open receptacle; this opens the glass for the other receptacle. Now place the Oxygen canister in the receptacle.

Cut scene:

Lara tries to help the Admiral escape, but he prefers to go down with his ship. The admiral opens the outer airlock for Lara to escape. As Lara in the escape pod speeds toward the surface, the Spear of Destiny approaches the Admiral, the submarine explodes. Lara surfaces and Jean Yves is waiting in a ship to rescue her.

Cut scene:

Winston, Jean Yves and Father Dunstan are gathered in the study of Lara's mansion. They talk of how Lara felt that the Spear of Destiny should never be found again and had its rightful place at the bottom of the sea. Lightning flashes and the lights go out, talk turns to one of Lara's other adventures.
